According to Dave and the kids, a "good" day is one that ends with a mammoth water fight! Although this happens regularly, I couldn't resist taking these photos this afternoon.
And lets be honest, it's a sure way to keep cool around here.
We also discovered that this huge bucket makes a great shield!!
It got me thinking...
While shields (or buckets) can protect us physically, faith can also protect us in the middle of trials and challenges. When anything attacks our values and beliefs we are able to stand unwavering because of our faith.
Ephesians 6:16
...above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
A shield also deflects. Sometimes fiery darts of fear, doubt and worry are flung in our direction, but the only time they can hit us is when we let our shield of faith down.
Let's never stop believing that God is in control; that He is working everything out for our good; that whatever happens is for the ultimate best of everyone involved, however little it seems to be that way.
