"Plan Y"

I used to be a "planner".  I had everything worked out.
Or so I thought.
That was, until I started realizing that God has a plan too.
And it's often different to the one I have.  Very different.
So I'm challenged to trust.  To surrender.  To take my hands back off the steering wheel {again} and to focus on Truth.  The Truth.

"For I know the plans I have for you,”
declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you
and not to harm you, plans to give you hope
and a future". Jer 29:11

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Prov 3:5-6

But this week's challenge has not been about my own plans... for me.
It's been for one of my precious children.
It's been about letting go and trusting that God has a great plan for them too.
Believing that He knows what's best for them- more than I do.
That just because I thought I had it "all planned out" that it's not too late to release those plans to Him and not grip on so tight.
Knowing that He did say that He will never leave us or forsake us, (Heb. 13:5). And that we can do all things through Him who strengthens us (Phil. 4:13).
We also know that He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Tim. 1:7).
These are promises we can hold onto, no matter what our struggle may be.
Thanks for sharing in the journey!

Some of the hardest lessons are the best lessons - accepting and trusting in the Truth are up there. Thanks for sharing this ... and reminding us!
